Marat Khusnullin spoke at the session-presentation "100 Projects of Russia. Construction"
The thematic session "Platform of the Future: 100 Projects of Russia. Construction" was held at the National Centre RUSSIA, where the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Marat Khusnullin, presented key projects within the national goal "Comfortable and Safe Living Environment".
"The Spatial Development Strategy of Russia until 2030, with a forecast up to 2036, defines the foundations for the country’s growth and the principles of territorial development. Its main objective is to create a unified and balanced system connecting all regions and localities. To ensure a comprehensive approach to this work, the national project "Infrastructure for Life" was approved. It encompasses all infrastructure necessary for citizens’ comfortable living. A great deal has already been achieved, but much remains to be done. A total of 2,160 anchor points have been identified — not only urban agglomerations and administrative centres, but also small towns and rural settlements. Priority areas have been determined to assess improvements in the quality of the living environment. The era of change has demonstrated our ability to adapt quickly, so we will continue working as a united team, confidently moving towards our goals," said Marat Khusnullin.
According to Marat Khusnullin, a key element of the national project "Infrastructure for Life" is the development of housing construction. By 2030, one-third of the housing stock is set to be renewed, with 663 million square metres of new housing built and the average provision level reaching 0.82 square metres per person nationwide. In 2025 alone, over 100 million square metres of housing are expected to be commissioned.
The development of the core road network — the most heavily used and socially significant routes — continues. Key transport corridors are being implemented, including "Russia", "Europe – Western China", and "North – South", which includes the Azov Ring.
Among the priorities is also the implementation of the socio-economic development programme in the reunified regions. Since 2022, construction and reconstruction of nearly 24,000 facilities have been completed. Every week, two to three dozen new social, utility, and infrastructure facilities are put into operation.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted the large-scale work being carried out in the spheres of education and culture. Major world-class cultural clusters are being created in four cities — Vladivostok, Kemerovo, Kaliningrad, and Sevastopol. Several facilities have already been completed. For example, in Kaliningrad, the new "Planet Ocean" building of the Museum of the World Ocean has opened; in St Petersburg, restoration of the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire building has been completed; and in Moscow, the new building of the Tretyakov Gallery on Kadashovskaya Embankment opened last year.
