Watercolour painting workshop held at the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye
On 20 September, the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region hosted a workshop on multi-layer watercolour painting. Pupils of one of Vladivostok’s children’s art schools painted a watermelon under the guidance of Olesya Galuzo, a graduate of the Sergei Andriyaka Academy of Watercolour and Fine Arts (Moscow).
The children discovered the world of watercolour painting, learned about glazing, layering, and tonal colour, and each created a painting of a juicy watermelon, painted from life.
After the workshop, participants went on a fascinating tour of the National Centre RUSSIA in Primorye, where they learned many interesting facts about their native region. The branch’s interactive expositions allowed the young artists to encounter rare animals, try themselves as boat captains, explore the world of marine creatures, and perhaps find inspiration for new paintings.
Tours at the centre are free for everyone. To join, visitors need to log in on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye region and select a convenient date and time. Tours are held daily except Monday, from 10:00 to 20:00. Groups are formed of up to 15 people, with each programme lasting 90 minutes. Visitors may also join without prior registration if places are available.
