Space-themed events were held at the Angara region stand at the RUSSIA EXPO
"The contest of children's drawings dedicated to space has been held annually since 2017 by our regional Center for the Development of Supplementary Education for Children, and over this time it has become an all-Russian event from a regional one. Now talented children from 51 regions of Russia, who are interested in astronomy and love fine arts, participate in it. This year the organizers of the contest used the RUSSIA EXPO venue to meet the winners",
He said that in 2024, 900 young artists presented their works in three nominations: "Cosmonauts: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow", "My Flying Machine", "About Stars and Planets". The winners and prize-winners were 129 children from the Altai region, Dagestan, Karachay-Cherkessia, Omsk, Rostov, Saratov, Ivanovo, Irkutsk, Penza and Moscow regions.
Another activity that interested the visitors of the Irkutsk region stand was a masterclass "Virtual Space Museum" dedicated to modern technologies related to space exploration. The unique content was developed by the students of Quantorium children's technoparks.
Let us remind you that Quantorium Baikal and Quantorium Siberia were created as structural subdivisions of the Center for the Development of Supplementary Education for Children of the Irkutsk Region thanks to the Presidential National Project "Education". The children created virtual models of famous spacecrafts of the Soviet Union and modern Russia, added audio accompaniment to the excursion materials and placed their virtual museum among the lunar landscapes on the surface of the Earth's satellite.
The educational project "Be the First" was also presented at the stand of the Irkutsk region by the teachers of the school in Molodezhny settlement of the Irkutsk district. According to the school director Natalia Vlasevskaya, the project is aimed at popularizing the space industry through a thematically designed educational space. The content of the educational system of the school reveals the achievements of our country in the field of space exploration, starting from the building, which resembles the shape of a spaceship, and the exterior walls, which are decorated with panels depicting the Angara-A5 rocket and the portrait of Yuri Gagarin, and continuing through the realization of collective creative activities and educational events. At the stand teachers organized an interactive platform "Creating my Planet".
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
Every day, for eight months, the RUSSIA EXPO delighted guests and gave unforgettable emotions.
