Metro, tourist Gzhel and educational cluster: achievements of the Central macroregion presented at the RUSSIA EXPO
At the "Space of the Future" forum, the best
projects of the Central macroregion were showcased. Sergei Melikov, Head of the
International Relations Department of the External Relations Service of SUE
"Moscow Metro", spoke about the infrastructure project "Metro
Development until 2030."
"The development of the metro includes the construction
of new metro lines, the extension of existing lines, the construction of new
stations and the improvement of passenger service quality. Last year, train
service was launched on the entire Big Circle Line — a total of 31 stations.
This is the largest metro construction project in the history of the Moscow
Metro. The pace of metro development in Moscow is unprecedented. By 2030, we
plan to open three new lines, 39 metro stations, and nine new and reconstructed
stations of the Moscow Central Diameters. The total number of rail framework
stations in the capital will increase to 517", said Sergei Melikov.
The goals and objectives of the infrastructure project are
to improve the transportation accessibility of Moscow's districts and socially
significant sites, reduce travel time for passengers, alleviate congestion on
other metro lines and transfer hubs, and enhance the efficiency of the city's
transportation system and the overall level of comfort for passengers.
Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Acting Vice-Rector for
Educational Activities of Kostroma University Irina Gerasimchuk presented the
project "I Choose to Teach".
"'I Choose to Teach' is a project aimed at developing
pedagogical education and supporting talented students at Kostroma State
University. On March 22, 2024, a cooperation agreement was signed for the
implementation of the 'I Choose to Teach' program by four parties: Kostroma
State University, the Department of Education and Science of the Kostroma
region, the Charitable Foundation for the Support and Development of Education
'New Teacher', and the Charitable Foundation for the Support and Development of
Higher Education in the Kostroma Region 'I am a Professional,'" noted
Irina Gerasimchuk.
The project's goal is to attract talented teachers to
schools in the Kostroma region, retain them and support them in their
profession. The project's implementation will help alleviate the staffing issue
in the region's schools by attracting motivated young teachers and developing
effective mechanisms for keeping teachers in schools. The project aims to
increase the attractiveness of pedagogical programs among applicants to
Kostroma State University and to enhance the quality of practical teacher
training for students with a focus on project-based activities and
evidence-based pedagogy. It also includes financial and mentorship support for
students starting their teaching careers.
During the presentation, the Moscow region showcased two
projects. Galina Golenkova, Deputy Director General and Head of Tourism
Development of LLC "Gzhel Association", spoke about the tourist
cluster "Gzhel Association".
"'Gzhel Association' is the only tourist cluster in
Russia that includes a developed infrastructure as well as a museum-laboratory.
It integrates the craft tradition into the world of advanced design, covering
philosophy, archaeology, anthropology, modern technologies and the future,
inspiring creativity and the creation of new things," noted Galina
Golenkova.
The project is a large-scale cluster aimed at achieving
goals in the fields of culture, tourism, economy and education, ensuring an
accessible environment and infrastructure not only for guests but also for
local residents. It also provides jobs for residents of surrounding rural
areas, offering them decent working conditions and salaries. The income from
the tourist cluster contributes to the region's economic growth through tax
revenues and participation in charitable and social projects.
