A multimedia lotus will be presented by the Astrakhan region at the exposition
The most impressive part of the Astrakhan region’s stand will be a multimedia transforming lotus with petals and screens. The flower will have a total of five petals, each devoted to a certain theme. This was reported by the press service of the governor of the region.
One of the five petals will tell about the uniqueness of the Astrakhan land and its opportunities for tourism, the second — about art and culture of the region. The third petal will be dedicated to industry and economy, the fourth — to sports traditions and healthy lifestyle, and the fifth — to the region’s international and interregional relations and development prospects.
The lotus itself will also become an important symbol. After all, the world’s largest lotus fields of hundreds of hectares are located in the Volga Delta, on the Caspian Sea coast. The legendary flower is even called the Caspian rose.
Many objects are named in honor of the lotus in the Astrakhan region — a special economic zone, a shipbuilding enterprise and a TV and radio company. The Moscow-Astrakhan special train is also called "Lotus".
