"We sat, holding our breath": audience members shared their impressions of the concert "Symphony of Life"
The musical
performance "Symphony of Life" took place on March 18 at the National
Centre RUSSIA. The audience shared their impressions of the performance by the
duo —saxophonist Veronika Kozhukhorova and Japanese organist Hiroko Inoue.
Guests noted the unique combination of organ, saxophone, the multimedia aspect
of the show, and the ballet productions by Alla Dukhova's "Todes".
The program was also dedicated to celebrating the "Russian Spring".
A guest of
the National Centre RUSSIA, Marina Kurmesha, attended the "Symphony of
Life" concert after visiting the expositions "Journey Across
Russia" and "The Birth of Scale" with her family.
"I now
track events happening at the National Centre RUSSIA. I decided to attend the
concert myself and invite my daughters. The impression after the concert was
overwhelming. A very unexpected combination of saxophone and organ. I could
never have imagined how these two completely different instruments could
interact so harmoniously. I really liked the artists. I hope there will be more
such events, and I will definitely attend. For the soul and some kind of
rejuvenation, it is very important to attend such concerts, to listen to such
wonderful music, from classical to contemporary. I really enjoyed it,"
said Marina Kurmesha.
"It
was really amazing. I really liked it, very musical. In my opinion, it was
powerful — both musically and in presentation. I also liked the visual
component. It was great, people are mainly visual, and it's much better
perceived this way. It was cool. The combination of saxophone and organ was
thrilling, it gave me goosebumps. I also liked that both artists embodied their
roles and showcased each song and every composition to the fullest. We sat,
holding our breath," noted Marina's daughter, Alexandra Kurmesha.
"Wonderful
concert, beautiful music. Magnificent performance. I liked that there were many
spectators and that such concerts are in demand; they should be arranged more
often. The unusual combination of instruments, I liked this particular format.
Both music, saxophone, organ, ballet, and 'Todes'. Everything was
excellent," shared audience member Inna Gromova.
The concert
program did not leave young music lovers indifferent.
"I really enjoyed the music. I have heard the saxophone at the Variety Theatre before. I am a fan of classical music. I particularly remembered how they played the organ and saxophone. I did not expect the combination of saxophone and organ to be possible, but it turned out to be very beautiful. Effects and the screen — it's an ideal addition to the concert. Good picture quality, everything was top-notch, I liked it, just splendid," said audience member Edward Kulagin.
The program of the musical exposition "Symphony of Life" included unique improvisations, works by Sergei Prokofiev, Johann Sebastian Bach, and other composers.
