Exactly one year ago, on 4 September 2025, the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, opened the National Centre RUSSIA branch in Vladivostok. The Primorye branch became the first in the country and in the Far East. Today, this unique space is celebrating its first anniversary.

"In just one year, the National Centre RUSSIA here in Vladivostok has become one of the city's most popular spaces among local residents, visitors from other regions and our international friends. The venue is thriving and evolving, the expositions are being updated, events are being held for a wide range of audiences, and new ideas are emerging. We are especially pleased that children and young people enjoy coming here and that everyone can find something of interest.

It is very important that there is just as much activity around the venue as there is inside it. Exactly one year ago, the first section of the embankment was completed, creating a beautiful new promenade, and today we can see how much children and families enjoy spending time here. But the branch team has ambitious plans. Construction of a concert hall will begin next year, and improvements to the embankment will continue.

I would like to thank the Governor of the Primorye Territory, Oleg Kozhemyako, for his support, for believing in our initiatives and for developing this space together with us.

And, of course, I would like to congratulate the entire branch team. Thank you for your dedication to your work, your energy and for bringing so many bold ideas to life. May our Amur tiger continue to accompany us as we pursue our most ambitious initiatives. Happy anniversary to the National Centre RUSSIA in the Primorye Territory!" said the Head of the National Centre RUSSIA, Natalia Virtuozova.

The National Centre RUSSIA space in the Primorye Territory has been designed to reflect the distinctive character of the Far East. The permanent exposition introduces visitors to the culture of Indigenous peoples, the region's nature and history, the Territory's industrial and educational potential, as well as its cultural and logistics opportunities. The branch also features interactive zones and hosts workshops, lectures, meetings and programmes for children and young people.

One year of work is only the beginning of a much bigger story. New projects lie ahead, along with expanded opportunities for the venue, further development of the surrounding urban area and new occasions to bring together residents and visitors to the region.

The branch hosts cultural, educational and business events, regularly updates its expositions and introduces new formats and projects. Over the past year, around 140,000 people have visited the venue, and more than 500 events have been held there: 145 business, 173 educational and 187 cultural and educational outreach events.

The Vladivostok venue became the starting point for the development of the National Centre RUSSIA branch network. Today, branches also operate in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area — Yugra, while concepts for branches in another eight regions of the country have been presented. But the branch in the Primorye Territory will always remain the first — the first in the country and the first in the Far East.
