The stand of the Ulyanovsk region will show the cockpit of Il-76
At the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH the Ulyanovsk region will demonstrate its achievements both in traditional industries, such as aviation, and in innovative ones like alternative energy.
The region’s exposition in Pavilion 75 will include the cockpit of the legendary Il-76 airplane as well as a life-size part of its fuselage. This will allow the guests to get acquainted with the work of specialized enterprises. The models will liven up the stand and make it more interesting and attractive.
As a reminder, the development of turbojet military transport airplane started in the summer of 1966, and the first model was assembled in early 1971. At first, the production of Il-76 was established in Tashkent. Later, its production was started at the Ulyanovsk plant Aviastar-SP.
The stand of the region will also feature a wind turbine — a symbol of green energy — and the great Volga River in the form of a water wall with a dripping waterfall and the Presidential Bridge, the second longest in Russia, crossing it.
The International RUSSIA EXPO will start on November 4 at the Exposition of Achievements of National Economy and will run until April 12, 2024. All 89 subjects of the Russian Federation will take part in it, presenting their achievements in key industries, traditions, tourism potential and the most interesting goods. It will be possible to get better acquainted with the life of each subject of the Federation at thematic days of regions.
Gastronomic evenings, cultural, entertainment and educational events will also be organized for visitors. Several blocks of events will be connected with the business program. Regional leaders and representatives of various spheres of economy will exchange information about current projects and the most important achievements.
