Development of wine tourism in Russia to be discussed at the Exposition on May 18

On May 18, the RUSSIA EXPO will host a foresight session "Wine Tourism and Regional Development". Representatives of major Russian wineries, specialized associations and authorities, expert and media community will assess new opportunities for the development of wine tourism in the regions of the country.

The key issues to be discussed include: identification of the most promising areas for the development of wine tourism, development of optimal tourist routes, assessment of the impact of this type of tourism on the development of the region as a whole, as well as long-term challenges for the entire Russian wine industry.

The discussion will be moderated by Alexander Chulok, Russian forecaster, international expert of the UN Foresight Development Program, Director of the Center for Scientific and Technological Forecasting of the ISSEK NRU HSE. It is expected that the participants of the meeting will be Evgenia Konstantinova, head of the Winepark wine tourism center, Natalia Belyakova, head of the group on new and niche types of tourism of the Tourism Coordination Council of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, and Alexei Sinelnikov, host of the "Wine and People" Telegram channel, Elena Porman, member of the Expert Council of the State Duma Committee on Tourism, Andrei Boldyrev, brand ambassador of the winery "Sober Bash", Olga Firstova, Director of Communications and Public Relations of Abrau-Durso Group of Companies, and Pavel Mayorov, Head of the National Agency for the Marketing of Russian Wine.

The event will take place on May 18 at 14:00. The venue is the “Winemaking of Russia” pavilion at VDNH, directions.
