Projects of the North Caucasus macroregion were presented at the Exposition
On June 12, the Exposition hosted a session-presentation
"Space of the Future: North Caucasus Macroregion". The guests were
told about the all-season tourist and recreational complex "Elbrus"
and the support system for children of participants and veterans of the special
military operation (SMO) "Children of Heroes" in the Kabardino-Balkar
Republic, as well as about the Caspian coastal cluster in the Republic of
Dagestan.
The all-season tourist and recreational complex
"Elbrus" has been undergoing modernization since 2014. The completion
of the works is planned for 2026. During this time the concept of the resort
was developed, ropeways were designed and erected, new ski slopes were opened,
the central part of the resort was improved and a parking lot for 800 cars was
created, said Murat Shogentsukov, Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the
Kabardino-Balkar Republic. According to him, the development of the complex
stimulates investment activity and attracts capital to the economy. This allows
to create modern infrastructure, which leads to the emergence of new jobs. All
this, in turn, leads to an increase in tourist flow.
"In 2023, the increase in tourists amounted to 25%.
This means that more than a million people visited Elbrus, with 740 thousand
staying directly at the resort complex. These figures are achieved in part due
to overcoming the seasonality of the resort – currently, 30 kilometers of
eco-trails have been developed. These seven eco-trails are fully equipped —
from navigation to viewing platforms. They attract mainly family
tourists," Murat Shogentsukov emphasized.
By 2026 the number of ropeways in the complex will triple —
from three to nine. In addition, the resort will have a service center for
tourists with restaurants, rental services and a hotel. It is expected that
other facilities will also appear — for example, an alpine village, hotel
complexes and cafes.
Another republican project is a complex system of support
for children of participants and veterans of the SMO "Children of
Heroes". It has been implemented from 2023. To assess the psychological
state of the children and help them, a separate unit was created and advanced
training courses were organized for class teachers, educational psychologists,
educational advisors and municipal coordinators of the project.
Nikolai Mironov, Advisor to the Head of the
Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, noted that children of the SMO participants are a
socially vulnerable category. At the same time, they deserve special respect.
In this regard, the organizers of the project have created a system that
includes a wide range of areas: the creation of an infrastructure of support
for children of SMO participants, individual curatorship and psychological
support for children and their loved ones.
"The project involves school staff, municipal
officials, deputies, public activists. They act as curators, work with children
and families, preventing possible difficult situations. The result of our work
is intangible — but it is expressed in the good condition of the children and
their level of happiness," said Nikolai Mironov.
The Republic of Dagestan presented the project of an
all-season tourist and recreational complex "Caspian Coastal Cluster"
— part of the megaproject "Five Seas and Lake Baikal". It will be
located in the coastal part of Derbent district, said Minister of Tourism and
Folk Arts and Crafts of the Republic of Dagestan Emin Merdanov. It is being
created by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is anticipated that in
2025, construction of engineering networks and initial facilities will
commence, with landscaping of the area starting in 2026. The cluster launch is
scheduled for 2027, and reaching project capacity is set for 2030.
"We plan to improve the embankment with a length of 6.5
kilometers, the construction of 28 hotels of various categories, a sanatorium,
a hostel, restaurants and multifunctional centers. In addition, on the
instructions of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the All-Russian
Children's Centre 'Dagestan' will be established on the territory. All this on
an area of more than 300 hectares," said Emin Merdanov.
The projects presented by the regions during the thematic
Days of Regional Development are presented on the portal Достижения.рф (Achievements.rf).
