The RUSSIA EXPO is hosting the I Open All-Russian Bard Movement Rally "For Our Songs to Be Sung as One's Own". This large-scale marathon was organized by the Oleg Mityaev Foundation with the support of the RUSSIA EXPO and the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives. The start of the Rally, which will last at the exposition until March 3, was given on the last day of winter.

"The bard movement has been alive for a long time, has its fans, followers, there are many artists of the new generation, and we wanted to announce it loudly. And where else to do it but here - at the RUSSIA EXPO! One of the tasks of our Festival is to immerse guests and residents of the capital in the atmosphere of landscape bard song festivals for four days, to convey the traditions of the bardic movement and its values," said Maria Grishina, Executive Director of the Oleg Mityaev Foundation.

More than 90 artists from all over the country are taking part in the Rally. In addition, whole delegations of admirers of this genre arrived at the Exposition - aspiring young performers from Tyumen, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Barnaul, Kemerovo and many other cities, as well as guests from Belarus. This is the first such presentation of the author's song genre as a unique phenomenon in Russian culture held at such a large scale.

On the first day of the Rally, the guests could attend a masterclass of bard song performer Raisa Nur, a masterclass "Directing and Performing Skills in Author's Song" by the "Master Grisha" duet, an immersive performance-pantomime "People Walk the Light" played by actors from Moscow theaters, a concert "From the Classics of the Genre to the Present Day" with Roman Lankin and the ensemble "Songs of Our Century" and other bright events.

A significant event of the second day was the opening of two contests at once. The first of them is the Contest of author's song, the winners of which will be invited to the All-Russian Ilmen Festival of author's song and the All-Russian Festival of author's song named after Valery Grushin. The second was the Open Children's Competition "Our Shift", the winners of which will be entitled to participate in the annual educational program of the Oleg Mityaev Foundation in the Artek International Children's Center.

The bard marathon will end with the awarding of laureates and diploma winners of the Contest of Author's Song and the Contest "Our Shift", as well as with a Gala Concert with the participation of stars of author's song and special guests, including Evgeny Margulis, Nikita Vysotsky, Masha Katz, Nikolai Grinko, Timur Vedernikov, Irina Surina, and the Choir of the Moscow Sretensky Monastery.
