Renovation and upgrade work begins at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition
Visitor access to the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA has been temporarily suspended. From 8 to 22 June, restoration and upgrade work is being carried out throughout the display.
Specialists are undertaking cosmetic repairs in the exposition spaces, including refurbishing wall and structural surfaces, carrying out repainting works, and inspecting technical equipment and multimedia installations. In addition, a number of areas within the exposition will undergo updates and improvements.
While the "Journey Across Russia" exposition is temporarily closed, visitors to the National Centre RUSSIA can continue to explore the "Geography Lessons" exposition. The display offers a journey through the centuries — from ancient scrolls and the earliest maps to modern digital technologies, and from great geographical discoveries to the exploration of outer space.
The venue of the National Centre RUSSIA features unique cartographic materials from some of the country's leading collections, including the Russian State Library, the Russian Geographical Society, archives of the Ministry of Defence, as well as collections from major universities and research centres.
