At the RUSSIA EXPO, applicants were informed about universities in the North-West and Caucasus regions
During the
Open Days of universities in the Southern and Northwestern Federal Districts at
the RUSSIA EXPO, applicants were briefed on the main directions of university
activities and scientific research conducted within their premises. The event
took place at the lecture hall of the Russian Society "Knowledge,"
the general partner of the Exposition educational program.
Open Days
aim to showcase the diversity of Russian universities and dispel the myth that
they are concentrated only in major cities, noted Vitaly Grishkin, Director of
the Department for Coordination of Educational Organizations Activities at the
Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.
"We
have national goals defined by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and
infrastructure megaprojects. Therefore, in the educational programs of
universities, we have begun to focus on technical specialties. This is
reflected in the increase in the number of applicants in these fields. If we
continue to develop in this direction, we will not only achieve technological
sovereignty but also take leading positions," emphasized Vitaly Grishkin.
According
to him, significant attention is now paid to ensuring that students interact
with employers from the first year, allowing them to gain necessary experience
and work in their field of study.
During the
presentation, guests were also informed about the opening of a stand in
Pavilion No. 57 dedicated to the admission campaign to universities. It will be
operational from June 12. As part of the stand's activities, experts and
volunteers will provide information about university admissions online. On
June 20, enrollees can submit their corresponding applications there.
