Merited Artist of Russia, actor and TV host Alexander Oleshko read Alexander Pushkin’s famous work "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" to the guests of the RUSSIA EXPO, accompanied by a string quartet and sand animation. The main audience for the show consisted of large families, families with foster children, orphans and children without parental care. The performance was part of the socio-cultural project "Meetings for the Soul", organized by the ANO "Centre for Social Projects Development" with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

Alexander Oleshko is involved in various initiatives of the "Centre for Social Projects Development" and is one of the few domestic artists who consistently promotes universal and civic values through his life and work — kindness, respect for elders, love for the Motherland and knowledge of its history, culture and traditions.

"The RUSSIA EXPO was created so that we could all see how vast, diverse, beautiful, and amazing our wonderful country, our Motherland, is. Therefore, today's first applause goes to Russia, in which we all live. And today, a small miracle will happen here — the birth of words and music, thanks to the amazing genre of 'fairy tale with orchestra', which was invented at the beginning of the last century by the dedicated director Natalia Sats, so that young viewers could see musical instruments, artists and musicians up close", said Alexander Oleshko.

"The Tale of Tsar Saltan" was chosen for the project for a reason, as this year the entire world is celebrating the 225th anniversary of the birth of its author, the great poet Alexander Pushkin.

"Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin had been writing this tale for twelve years, which means that there is not a single accidental punctuation mark in it. It is not just a beautiful and unique work; it is the great Russian language. I would very much like each of you to hear, remember, love and reread at some point various wonderful and beautiful works, including those by Pushkin. I wish you a good mood, a wonderful and kind summer, energy and health. Please read good books, listen to wonderful, kind music, and know that, like in a fairy tale, everything will be fine," Alexander Oleshko addressed the audience.

The artist’s performance was accompanied by unique visuals - a colorful sand show that visually complemented the fairy tale's content. Sand animation artist Lilia Chistina helped enhance the literary meanings and complete the verbal images with imaginative scenes. And, of course, the musical accompaniment of the reading by the "Melodion" string quartet (artistic director Natalia Tupikova-Moroz) made an unforgettable impression.

As part of the project at the RUSSIA EXPO, there was also a family program — a concert titled "Eternal Light", where Alexander Oleshko performed wartime songs and modern popular lyrical pieces, as well as shared life stories.
