There are 100 days left until the II Russian Children's Folkloriada. The RUSSIA EXPO launched the countdown to the event.

The II Russian Children's Folkloriada or Folklore Festival will be held from June 19 to 23 in Kazan. The program of the event includes a gala concert and performances of collectives from federal districts, costumed procession of participants, creative meetings, round tables, masterclasses on arts and crafts, national games of the peoples of Russia and other events.

"In the Year of the Family, the Folkloriada will be held in Kazan as part of the Decade of Childhood. The place was not chosen by chance. Tatarstan takes great care of the history and culture of the peoples of the republic. From June 19 to 23, concerts of folk singing and dancing groups, performers on national instruments, masterclasses and the most popular "Round Dance of Friendship" will be held at the best venues of the city. Young artists will also perform in the municipalities of Tatarstan. This large project was launched in the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia and was a great success in the Republic of Chuvashia. Talented children from 76 regions with great pride and love introduced the audience to the unique culture of their peoples. I wish all the participants of this wonderful project success and new creative discoveries!" said Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.

Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova drew the attention of those present to the importance of family education.

"Representatives of 175 nationalities live in Tatarstan. But it does not matter what nationality you were born into. It is important that you have opportunities to preserve your cultural code. The year 2024 has been declared the Year of the Family in Russia. And respect for one's roots starts in the family," Irada Ayupova noted.

During the ceremony of the countdown to the II Russian Children's Folkloriada, the guests of the Exposition were treated to performances by artists of the Children's Vocal and Choreographic Studio "Folkchildren" of the Pyatnitsky State Academic Choir, the folklore group "Taravat" from Chuvashia, the ensemble "Happy Childhood" from Tatarstan and the ensemble "Yuldash" of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Tatarstan.
