The RUSSIA EXPO celebrated the tenth anniversary of the DPR
Decade since the establishment of the Donetsk People's Republic was celebrated at the RUSSIA EXPO with concerts, quizzes and other events.
Today the DPR is a full-fledged subject of the Russian Federation, President Vladimir Putin said in a congratulatory message addressed to the residents of the republic.
"You are rightfully proud of your history, military and labor traditions, heroes who fight for their native land, honorably perform their duty during the special military operation. Thanks to the support of the whole country, of all our people, the republic is implementing demanded programs aimed at strengthening the economy and social sphere, improving the quality of life of people. Roads and houses, healthcare and educational institutions are being built and restored, industrial and agricultural production is being established. I am sure that together we will definitely achieve success, bring peace back to the Donetsk land, solve the most difficult tasks. Together we will win!" the text of the congratulatory message published on the Kremlin's website reads.
The Donetsk People's Republic is entering a new decade of its history as a confidently developing region of Russia. It faces the tasks of providing a decent life for people, returning them to security and stability, emphasized the Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.
"The efforts of all residents of the region are aimed at this, with the constant support of our President Vladimir Putin, the Russian Government, the federal center and, of course, the Russian regions. We are already at home, in our native country. And we will definitely do everything possible to make our region regain the glory of scientific, industrial, cultural center of Russia and make a great contribution to its development and strengthening," said Denis Pushilin.
The series of festive events was opened by the concert "Father's Land — Native Donbass", where regional artists performed for the guests of the Exposition. On the Main Street Stage, the performance "My Fatherland — Donbass" by the M.M. Brovun Donetsk State Academic Music and Drama Theater took place. The artists performed the songs "I Love You, Life", "Thank You, Life", "I Love You, Russia" by composers Eduard Kolmanovsky, Maxim Dunaevsky and David Tukhmanov. In addition, the program included compositions by Mikhail Khokhlov, Merited Cultural Worker of the DPR. They included "Donbass Behind Us", which has become a national anthem and won the Golden Gramophone award.
The Youth Orchestra of Folk Instruments and Vocalists of the Donetsk Philharmonic performed the program "The Soul of Russian Donbass" — it included songs of Russian and Soviet composers in original arrangements. In turn, the Krasnodar creative association "Premiere" named after L.G. Gatov and the Donetsk State Academic Philharmonic presented the Donbass Character project. At the end, the brass orchestra performed favorite compositions of domestic and foreign authors in original jazz arrangements.
At the stand of the DPR in Pavilion No. 75, a creative program was held, including performances by artists, masterclasses and quizzes. In turn, baskets with roses appeared at the stands of other regions in Pavilion No. 75 in honor of the holiday.
