Floral fashion show "Fashion a La Russe" was held at the RUSSIA EXPO
On July 8, the "Future in Flowers" workshop hosted
the floral fashion show "Fashion a La Russe" organized by the
All-Russian public organization "Community of Florists of Russia".
"Florist designers from different corners of Russia
came to showcase their creations to all the Exposition guests! It was important
for us to present floristry as an art form. We really want people to see how
one can work with natural materials and create masterpieces!" emphasized
Svetlana Karelina, President of the All-Russian public organization
"Community of Florists of Russia".
The workshop featured the best creations from the country's
talented florists. Guests were treated to a bright show at the intersection of
art, fashion and floristry. About 40 floral dresses were showcased, created
from a wide variety of flowers and plants, where the authors strove to convey
the national characteristics inherent to their region.
The "Future in Flowers" festival, organized with
the support of the Moscow Government, began its work at the Exposition on May
21st. Festival guests can see 100 million flowers from different parts of
Russia. They were arranged in flowerbeds prepared by all the Exposition
participants - regions, ministries and companies. At the "Future in
Flowers" workshop, you can also explore the best achievements of Russian
breeders: about 400 varieties of peonies, 140 varieties of lilacs, 120
varieties of irises, 250 varieties of roses, 30 varieties of dahlias and other
flowers and plants from Russia.
