Passenger Logistics Day opened at the RUSSIA EXPO
On January
19, the International RUSSIA EXPO hosted the official opening of the Passenger
Logistics Day. After showing a video dedicated to digitalization and customer
focus in passenger logistics, the Minister of Transport of the Russian
Federation Vitaly Savelyev addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
"The
tasks set by the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin are being
fulfilled by the transportation complex in full. The infrastructure is being
developed, the quality of transport work is increasing. I am confident that the
momentum of transformations we have gained will be maintained. I would like to
note that the highest political authorities of the country have never before
paid such active attention to transportation issues. This is an assessment of
our labor, trust and high responsibility," said Vitaly Savelyev.
The
Minister shared impressive statistics: Russian airlines carried more than 105
million passengers, which is more than 10% higher than in 2022. The
implementation of three traditional programs of transportation subsidies
continued, the total amount of support for them totaled more than 30 billion
rubles. Special attention is paid to supporting the availability of flights to
the Far East - about 22 billion rubles have been allocated for this purpose in
2023. The volume of passenger traffic on the Russian Railways network has
reached 1.2 billion people. Carriers are adjusting to people's needs,
developing their route network and offering new services. Tourist trains are a vivid
example of that. The rapid growth of domestic tourism will be further ensured
by the necessary rolling stock and fleet.
"Today,
the heads of leading transportation companies and industry institutions, heads
of major domestic enterprises, representatives of the expert community have
gathered here. I would like to note that the logistics of passenger
transportation in Russia is developing rapidly. In recent years, we have done a
lot to improve the quality of transportation services for the population. We
should not forget that our work is based on the opinions and wishes of business
and citizens. It is the passenger, his current and future needs that is our
main reference point for making managerial decisions and forming plans for the
future," emphasized the Minister of Transport.
The
International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country
gathered in one place. During the whole period of the Exposition, guests are
welcomed by cultural events, a rich business and educational program. The
expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and
public organizations are presented to the visitors.
Hosted festive events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Association of Indigenous Small-Numbered Peoples of the North, Siberia, and the Far East of the Russian Federation, and the 95th anniversary of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra.
The international campaign "Victory Dictation" took place in Moscow on April 25 across 497 venues.
Essayist participating in the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" took a guided tour of the interactive exposition "Journey Across Russia".
