Festival of the Movement of the First was launched at the Exposition
The RUSSIA
EXPO hosted the opening ceremony of the Movement of the First Festival timed to
coincide with the International Children's Day. Famous Russian artists
performed on the Main Street Stage, as well as launched the summer health
campaign and handed passports to children from all over the country.
The
ceremony was opened with an address by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The
head of state congratulated all young citizens of Russia, parents,
grandparents, teachers and mentors on the International Children's Day.
"This
holiday is filled with warmth, joy, sincere emotions and is widely celebrated
in our country, where kind, good traditions of intergenerational continuity,
true family values are honored and protected. And the most important thing for
every child is a strong, close-knit family, loving parents, relatives, and the
care of teachers, educators, and mentors who are ready to give advice, help,
and support, especially in difficult life situations if they arise,"
Vladimir Putin addressed the participants of the ceremony.
According
to the President, it is precisely around the interests of families and children
that "virtually all our actions, all state activities and decisions are
based, and in various areas at that — in
education, healthcare, and in the economy, in the development of housing
programs". Families and parents should be confident that the state is
ready to provide them with the necessary support, the head of state is
convinced.
"And
the widest opportunities for self-realization should be open to children. So
that they could reveal their potential, their abilities, talents, and
eventually find their own way of life, realize their wildest dreams and achieve
successes that we can all be proud of. We will continue, of course, to create
all conditions for Russian families to have as many children as possible. This,
I emphasize, is a fundamental task of our state policy. We are working for the
future. I would like to wish all children happiness, joy, loyal and reliable
friends. Dear friends, dare, dream, conquer the highest peaks on the road of
knowledge, and you will definitely succeed," said Vladimir Putin.
The
President was one of the first in his address to outline opportunities for
self-realization of talent, said Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of
Russia, who also took part in the ceremony. This was reflected in the new
national project "Youth and Children".
"But
you know that being the first is also a huge responsibility. You will be the
first to face difficulties, challenges and fight them, but you will also be the
first to get the result. Dear children, today I congratulate you on this holiday
and wish you absolute success in everything you do. So that you with your first
deeds help our Motherland to become better, to become stronger. I am sure that
you will succeed," Dmitry Chernyshenko addressed the participants of the
Movement of the First.
Sergei
Novikov, Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects, joined the
congratulations. "I wish you all to be able to rest well and gain
strength. And to your mentors I want to wish and draw your attention to the
fact that there is no learning in the summer. But education is learning plus
upbringing. There is no learning in the summer. But all this time can be spent
on upbringing. On raising real patriots of our country. You can become the
first in any business you start. Because Russia is a country of
opportunities!" Sergei Novikov said.
In
addition, the ceremony marked the start of the summer recreational campaign.
Five children's camps - Crimea's "Artek", "Ocean", located
in Vladivostok, Tuapse's "Orlyonok", "Scarlet Sails",
located in Yevpatoria, and "Smena" in Anapa — got in touch with the
Exposition.
"The
summer and health-improvement campaigns are starting — three million of our
children will have a rest in children's camps. There are no such centers and
campaigns in any country in the world. Let this summer be interesting and
useful for you. This is the summer of the Movement of the First," said
Alexander Bugayev, First Deputy Minister of Education of Russia.
During the
ceremony, passports were handed over to 27 children from all over the country
and the collection of applications for participation in the "First
Award" was launched — it unites all participants of the childhood industry
in order to recognize and thank children, parents and teachers for their
contribution to the development of a common cause — improving the quality of
life of children in the country.
Famous
Russian artists took part in the opening ceremony. Among them were Mia Boyka,
Misha Marvin, Rodion Gazmanov and other performers. In addition, Olympic
champion, biathlete Olga Zaitseva and Hero of Russia, cosmonaut Andrei
Borisenko addressed the participants of the ceremony.
The event will feature a presentation of a collection of essays written by participants of the international project "Open Dialogue: The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth."
