The Children's Symphony Orchestra of Atomic Cities played a
concert in the ATOM pavilion. Its participants are fifty young musicians. The
orchestra's artistic director is an outstanding Soviet and Russian violist and
conductor, People's Artist of the USSR, Professor Yuri Bashmet, and its
conductor is Freddy Cadena, the founder and chief conductor of the Amadeus
Chamber Orchestra at the Union of Moscow Composers. The event was supported by
Rosatom State Corporation and the Rosatom Cultural Territory program.
"The Children's Symphony Orchestra of Atomic Cities is
our pride, because we were able to unite talented children from different
atomic cities and create a bright band with a subtle sense of beauty. Many
thanks to these young professionals. And, of course, endless gratitude to our
artistic director Yuri Bashmet: thanks to a miraculous meeting with him, our
talented musicians are growing and the project itself is successfully
developing. And together with our wonderful conductor Freddy Cadena, music
simply comes to life," said Oksana Konysheva, head of the Rosatom Cultural
Territories program.
The young musicians prepared the concert program in record
time. Rehearsals began on February 26, and on March 3 the program was presented
