The National Centre RUSSIA has announced the top regions participating in the "Dreams of the Future" video essay contest
The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra has taken the lead among registered teams in the All-Russian "Dreams of the Future" video essay contest, organized by the National Centre RUSSIA.
Anyone interested can register and upload their work on the website dream.russia.ru. The competition is open to teams of five people aged 14 to 18. As of now, nearly 350 teams from 70 regions of Russia have registered.
Top 10 regions participating in the "Dreams of the Future" competition by the number of applications as of April 1:

6. Moscow region
7. Donetsk People's Republic
8. Krasnodar region
9. Republic of Dagestan

Other participating regions include Nizhny Novgorod, Sverdlovsk, Ulyanovsk, Leningrad, Novosibirsk, Voronezh, Irkutsk, Samara, Penza, and Yaroslavl regions, among many others across Russia.
The contest aims to inspire young people to reflect on the future and explore the works of science fiction writers. Participants must create a video essay that begins with the phrase: "We want to create a future where..." and includes a mandatory reference to a science fiction work from the recommended list. This list was specially prepared for the project participants by the Russian State Library for Youth and the Council on Science Fiction and Adventure Literature of the Union of Writers of Russia, with the involvement of the Eksmo-AST publishing group.
A total of 20 teams will reach the finals, with six of them becoming winners and prize recipients. The finalists will be announced on June 1, International Children's Day, during the awards ceremony at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The contest is held as part of the Decade of Science and Technology with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian public-and-state movement for children and youth "Movement of the First," the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in Science and Education under the Presidential Council for Science and Education of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Library for Young Adults, the Council on Science Fiction and Adventure Literature of the Union of Writers of Russia, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), ANO "ArtMasters," and the All-Russian Festival "SCIENCE 0+."
The literary partner of the competition is the Eksmo-AST publishing group, and the official book retail partner is the federal bookstore chain "Chitai-Gorod." The social content partner is "YOUF – Your Media About Reading." The analytical partner is VCIOM.
The "Dreams of the Future" contest continues the effort to revive public interest in shaping the future, a mission that was initiated at the International Symposium "Inventing the Future."
