The National Centre RUSSIA will share expertise with event organizers across the country
Participants of the "Event Management Workshop," a new educational program for creators and directors of creative events, will learn about the practices of the National Centre RUSSIA. Experts from the centre will share their experience in organizing large-scale events with 60 specialists from various regions of the country.
The training is conducted by the federal educational program for media and PR specialists, the New Media Workshop, and the Polilog consulting group, with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. Among the program's participants are Margarita Gulina-Shnegas, head of the film and media content industry service at Tavrida.Art and CEO of the ARGO film company; Kirill Rubtsov, festival director and project coordinator of the Universities of St. Petersburg foundation; Pavel Asanaliyev, CEO of the Centre for Project Initiatives and International Consulting; and others.
The National Centre RUSSIA has become a platform for experience exchange within the "Event Management Workshop." Participants have already met with Pavel Doroshenko, Deputy Director General for Exposition Activities at the National Centre RUSSIA, and Yevgeniya Sirota, Head of the Excursion Organization Department at the National Centre RUSSIA.
"Who, if not the National Centre RUSSIA, is a recognized expert in organizing large-scale, meaningful, and unifying events? This includes the RUSSIA EXPO, which attracted 18.5 million visitors in just nine months, as well as the symposium 'Inventing the Future,' which brought together scientists, futurists, and writers from around the world. We are confident that the centre's experience will help participants of our program significantly enhance the quality of events they organize in the country's regions," noted Yulia Ablets, Deputy General Director of ANO Dialogue Regions and founder of the New Media Workshop.
As part of the training at the National Centre RUSSIA, participants will delve into the visual identity of events, discuss how to make events memorable and valuable for people, and analyze case studies of the creation of the RUSSIA EXPO and the organization of the symposium "Inventing the Future."
"It is very important that our country now has a program for training specialists who create meaningful events. Within this program, participants can learn about the process of preparing events at the highest level. One of the most well-known of these is the International RUSSIA EXPO — a project that is unique not only for Russia but for the entire world. It is often compared to the World Expo, but it is important to consider that the event at VDNH was significantly more complex in terms of organization and logistics. For example, the first two months of preparations for the International RUSSIA EXPO were dedicated solely to assessing the feasibility of its implementation: we developed a unique technical specification, coordinated project details with VDNH, and worked on architectural solutions that accounted for the constraints of a cultural heritage site. This experience must be shared with the best industry professionals," emphasized Pavel Doroshenko, Deputy Director General for Exposition Activities at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The key goal of the program is to train specialists to create high-quality events that promote national culture and traditional Russian values. The training will last three months, with participants traveling to Moscow for in-person sessions one week each month.
During the training, participants will have the opportunity to receive expert feedback and recommendations on their projects, which they plan to implement this year. The organizers will also develop an online course covering the key stages of event creation, making it accessible to anyone interested.
