The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the Magadan region on Region Day

The Magadan region is marking Region Day today, on 3 December. This constituent entity was established 72 years ago, in 1953. The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates local residents on this occasion.

"The Kolyma land is transforming year after year, impressing visitors not only with its striking beauty and rich resources but also with its modern environment, hospitality and opportunities. We cherish our shared home, renew it and take pride in the results we have achieved. All of this has become possible thanks to the support of President Vladimir Putin, the Government of the country, and thanks to your talent, hard work and devotion to your homeland," said the Governor of the Magadan Region, Sergei Nosov.

He noted that in the Year of the 80th Anniversary of Victory and Defender of the Fatherland, the region gratefully remembers the wartime and labour feats of veterans. Thanks to them, the regional centre holds the honorary title of the "City of Labour Valour".

The Magadan region is part of the Far Eastern Federal District, which is widely represented at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA. Visitors can learn about the macroregion's industry, natural features and much more.
