The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the Kursk region on its birthday
On June 13, the Kursk region celebrates the 91st anniversary of its foundation. On this day in 1934, a resolution was signed to divide the Central Black Earth Region into the Voronezh and Kursk regions. Since then, the region has become one of the key centres of the Black Earth area, renowned for its history and culture. Today, the Kursk region is featured as part of the Central Federal District at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA.
"Kursk land is a land of military glory, labour traditions, and a rich cultural legacy. Here, at the crossroads of history and modernity, great victories were born — from the feats of Kursk warriors praised in 'The Tale of Igor's Campaign,' to the heroism shown during the Battle of Kursk and Operation Potok. We are proud of our region — true patriots of Russia live here," noted Alexander Khinshtein, Acting Governor of the Kursk Region.
The Central Federal District is represented at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition with routes along the Golden Ring and cities of the future featuring innovative smart infrastructure.
The entire exposition is divided into eight themed zones, each dedicated to one of the federal districts of our country. Visitors to the National Centre RUSSIA can take a kind of journey from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok.
All expositions are enhanced with modern technology: virtual reality, video content and infographics, creating a fully immersive experience. Guided tours of the "Journey Across Russia" exposition are free of charge with prior registration. Full details are available on the National Centre RUSSIA website in the "Events" section.
Concerts were held simultaneously in 12 regions of the country on Russia Day.
