February 23 is a holiday honoring brave, courageous people who are wholeheartedly devoted to their Motherland. The year 2025 has been declared the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

The National Centre RUSSIA, established by presidential decree, continues to hold events aimed at preserving historical memory, strengthening national spirit, and ensuring generational continuity.

"The National Centre RUSSIA hosted the 'Cinema in Service to the Fatherland' festival, where we all watched the premiere of the documentary project 'Thy Ways' and the musical and poetic performance 'Sisters.' In the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, we will continue to support patriotic initiatives and share even more stories about the heroic deeds of our defenders. We believe that only through loyalty to traditions and respect for the past can we build a worthy future. Happy Defender of the Fatherland Day!" said Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA.

Defender of the Fatherland Day is both a national day of remembrance for the heroic deeds of many generations and an opportunity to sincerely thank those who honorably fulfill their military duty today.

In celebration of the holiday, the National Centre RUSSIA presents its song "Officer" — a tribute to a strong-spirited man who defends his Motherland, ensuring peace both at home and across the country. He follows the code of honor: "Soul to God. Heart to a woman. Life to the Motherland. Honor to no one."

The song's premiere will take place on February 23 at 19:00 during the festive concert dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day.
