The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the Tyumen region on the 81st anniversary of its founding
On 14 August, the Tyumen region celebrates 81 years since
its establishment. It was on this day that the corresponding decree of the
Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR was issued.
The Tyumen region is part of the Ural Federal District,
which is represented at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the
National Centre RUSSIA. Visitors can learn here that this region is a key
oil-producing area in Russia. The oil industry is one of the leading sectors of
our country’s economy and one of its most important exports. The Ural Federal
District accounts for 66.7% of Russia’s oil reserves.
"Participation in the 'Journey Across Russia'
exposition has become another important step in our ongoing efforts to enhance
the tourist appeal of the Tyumen region. Tourism has long become an independent
and rapidly developing sector of the regional economy. In 2024, our region
welcomed more than 4.2 million visitors. In the summer of 2025, we expect over
one million guests," said Governor of the Tyumen Region Alexander Moor.
He noted that the Tyumen region offers tourists a wide range
of routes and services, such as the country’s famous hot springs. The tourism
complex in Tobolsk is actively developing. Construction of a modern concert
hall has recently begun. Future plans include the creation of a large tourist
and recreation cluster based on the Pearl of Siberia winter sports centre near
Tyumen.
"Thanks to the work of Tyumen residents, and the
support of President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Government of the Russian
Federation, our region has achieved significant success in socio-economic
development. The Tyumen region is home to people who are happy and confident
about the future. It is important to maintain the momentum and continue to
carry out our plans. I congratulate my fellow countrymen on the region’s
birthday. Onward to new achievements!" added Alexander Moor.
Guided tours of the "Journey Across Russia"
exposition are free of charge with prior registration. Full details are
available in the "Events" section on the official website of the
