The National Centre RUSSIA congratulates the residents of the Krasnoyarsk region on their Region Day

On 7 December, the Krasnoyarsk region marks 91 years since its establishment. This date is not only an occasion to honour the rich history of one of Russia’s largest regions, but also to acknowledge its contribution to the country’s development. In 1934, by a decree of the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee of the RSFSR, a region was created that would later become the heart of Siberia.

"Many generations have shaped the modern appearance of the Krasnoyarsk region, and each new generation has multiplied the achievements of its predecessors. Our generous, beautiful land in the very centre of the country has always inspired bold ideas, while the unique character and energy of Siberians helped turn these ideas into reality. Today, as the heirs of great workers, we are leading the region towards new horizons: strengthening the economy, building modern social infrastructure to improve quality of life and developing new points of attraction for tourists," said the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region, Mikhail Kotyukov.

Speaking about the region’s development prospects, Mikhail Kotyukov emphasised the importance of its presentation at the National Centre RUSSIA: "It is highly symbolic that the potential of our Siberian Federal District is prominently represented at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA. I am confident that through our joint efforts we will ensure a prosperous future and new achievements for our land!"

In the region’s 91st anniversary year, the Krasnoyarsk region receives a special gift – the opening of the National Centre RUSSIA. This event marks a symbolic continuation of the region’s history and a starting point for new achievements. On 15 December, a branch of the National Centre RUSSIA will open in Krasnoyarsk.
