The National Centre RUSSIA is integrating into the programs of the country’s leading tour operators
A congress of tour operators was held at the National Centre RUSSIA. During a round table discussion, the largest industry players explored how the programs of the National Centre RUSSIA could be incorporated into domestic and international tourist routes. Experts worked in a practical format to develop specific interaction models.
"It is very important for us that the National Centre RUSSIA becomes part of the tour operators' programs in both domestic and international tourism. Today, we are ready to welcome guests from all over the world. A large-scale exposition, 'Journey Across Russia,' covering 3,000 square metres, has already been opened, along with the architectural exposition 'The Birth of Scale.' Visitors can also experience the diverse cuisine of our country in the Gastronomic Rows. We are open to everyone," noted Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA.
One of the key areas of focus for tour operators today is routes for foreign visitors. Travelers from the Middle East, Asia, as well as countries such as China and India, are showing increasing interest in Russia. This was highlighted by Dmitry Vakhrukov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
"Our priority is 17 countries in the Middle East and Asia, where we see a massive and growing flow of tourists. Here, it is essential to combine commercial and government efforts to introduce travelers to Russia. The National Centre RUSSIA is a perfect fit for this, and its events must be included in tour operators' programs. Plans include familiarization tours for Asian and Arab tour operators to Moscow, and together we can bring them to the National Centre RUSSIA. Another ambitious idea is to organize a meeting of ambassadors from friendly countries. This event could become a flagship at the National Centre since it fully aligns with the centre’s level. What I have seen today is truly impressive," said Dmitry Vakhrukov.
Russia's tourism industry now requires a space like the National Centre RUSSIA, noted Ilya Umansky, President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry and Director General of the tour operator ALEAN, during the discussion.
"We are witnessing the best transformation of the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH. Today, both domestic and international tourism are looking for new venues and new tourist attractions. The National Centre is exactly such a space, making it highly appealing to major tour operators," emphasized Ilya Umansky.
Excursion programs at the National Centre RUSSIA are available in multiple languages. Visits are free of charge with prior registration on the website russia.ru. Additionally, the National Centre RUSSIA regularly hosts educational and awareness-raising events.
