Nadezhda Babkina performed at the RUSSIA EXPO
On the Day of the Astrakhan Region at VDNH, its famous native, People's Artist of Russia Nadezhda Babkina gave a performance. Nadezhda Babkina came on the Main Street Stage accompanied by the vocal ensemble Russian Song, of which she is the founder and artistic director.
"Today is the seventh time I have come to the RUSSIA EXPO, every region tries to invite me, and I can't refuse them. I am a native person in each region, but where actually are my roots from? From the Astrakhan region! This is my homeland, my parents, my childhood and formative years", — said People's Artist of Russia, singer and TV presenter Nadezhda Babkina.
The concert featured folk songs familiar to the majority of Russian citizens - "Am I to Blame", "Ow, Near the Meadow, Near the Meadow" and others. And, of course, one of the most touching moments of the concert was the performance of Mark Fradkin's composition "The Volga River Flows", because this very river flows in the territory of the Astrakhan region and is a special natural pride of Astrakhan and the whole region.
