People’s Artist of Russia Sergei Zhilin: "Family culture must be nurtured from early childhood"
Family culture must be nurtured from the earliest childhood. People’s Artist of Russia, pianist, conductor, bandleader, arranger, composer and teacher Sergei Zhilin shared this with the Press Office of the National Centre RUSSIA.
"We must consciously cultivate genuine family values — the kind that have always been part of our lives. I recall the Soviet period: so much was grounded then in a strong family and clear values. And this must continue today. We need to nurture it from a very young age — family culture, the culture of internal family communication, and culture in the broader sense, which is not a service but a part of existence, a part of our everyday life," said Sergei Zhilin.
According to him, theatre, music and cinema should be part of family life, creating an atmosphere and a sense of unity in which values take shape naturally, properly, and in a beautiful way.
"Culture, as Mikhail Fyodorovich Shvydkoy likes to say, is soft power. And indeed, much depends on us, the people of culture. We will continue to promote only the right, traditional, and truly Russian values," he noted.
Sergei Zhilin spoke during the presentation of the project "Platform of the Future: 100 Projects of Russia. Person" together with the Deputy Chair of the Government of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Golikova. During the discussion, the People’s Artist of Russia highlighted that our country has unique educational traditions in the field of art.
Dear visitors, from 1 to 5 December the National Centre RUSSIA will be closed to the public.
