"Our cultures go hand in hand" — Maryam Tillyaeva on the National Centre RUSSIA stand in Tashkent
The flagship project of the National Centre RUSSIA — the Department Store RUSSIA — became a real magnet for media representatives at the International Trade Fair "INNOPROM. Central Asia" in Tashkent. A guest at the stand was Maryam Tillyaeva — the granddaughter of the first President of Uzbekistan. She shared her warm impressions of what she saw.
"I’m overwhelmed by such beauty. The tables feature very beautiful traditional Russian patterns, delicious sweets, and unusual burgers with marmalade. I like that this is an interpretation of Russian culture, but already in a new style. And I can see how our cultures go hand in hand — for example, how beautifully you have decorated the roly-poly toy in an Uzbek style. This is very valuable, and I enjoy seeing all of this," said Maryam Tillyaeva.
Bloggers and other distinguished guests unanimously noted the high level of the stand’s design and the richness of the product range presented in the Department Store — from contemporary designer objects to authentic examples of the ancient cultural heritage of Russia’s regions. The greatest interest was sparked by items in which familiar national motifs were reimagined, becoming clear and relatable to an international audience: original tableware and accessories, the famous Dymkovo toy, Pavlovo Posad shawls, and, of course, unique Kotovsk roly-poly toys painted in an Uzbek folk style.
At the "INNOPROM. Central Asia" in Tashkent, the National Centre RUSSIA is presented outside the country for the first time. In the Department Store exposition, products from more than 50 Russian manufacturers from 39 regions are brought together: from exclusive confectionery to original works of traditional folk crafts.
A news presenter of the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel, Islom Koraboyev, became one of the distinguished guests of the National Centre RUSSIA exposition at the International Trade Fair "INNOPROM.
