Aya Arfaoui invites to the Open Dialogue at the National Centre RUSSIA
This year, 104 authors from 43 countries have advanced to
the in-person stage of the Open Dialogue, based on interview results. Aya
Arfaoui, an essayist in the field of investment in technology from Morocco,
will address one of the key issues of our time: who should regulate the digital
space — states, corporations, or society?
"Whoever controls the internet, controls the world. But
who then controls the controllers? We are Generation Z, the first generation
born into the digital age. We need an international body with decisions that
are mandatory to implement in the field of digital governance, one that can
hold the largest technology companies accountable and protect the digital
rights of every person in every country. I firmly believe that digital rights
and digital space should belong to all of us, not just to those who have the
resources to own them," said Aya Arfaoui.
From 27 to 29 April, the National Centre RUSSIA will host
the II Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. A New Platform for Global
Growth". Participants from all continents will gather here to discuss key
trends in global development. The initiative is implemented by the National
Centre RUSSIA in partnership with the Centre for Inter-Industry Expertise
"Third Rome", and with the support of the Presidential Executive
Office of the Russian Federation.
