The National Centre RUSSIA and the State Historical Museum discuss plans for long-term cooperation
A
delegation from the National Centre RUSSIA visited the State Historical Museum
of Russia, toured a number of expositions there, and discussed a strategy for
potential cooperation. The National Centre RUSSIA is eager to adopt the State
Historical Museum’s best practices and conduct joint cultural and educational
projects.
"On
the example of our expositions, which are visited by over three thousand people
daily, we see enormous interest in the history, culture, and traditions of our
country. This indicates a public demand for authentic knowledge, and this
knowledge is impossible without museums. The National Centre RUSSIA and the
State Historical Museum can successfully complement each other. We have a good
foundation and expert support, while the State Historical Museum has vast
experience, extensive collections, and knowledge," said Natalia
Virtuozova, Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA.
The
collection of the State Historical Museum holds invaluable archaeological
artefacts, numismatic items, ancient manuscripts, weapons, and works of fine
and decorative-applied art. It is a key platform for studying Russian history
and culture. The Director General of the State Historical Museum, Alexei
Levykin, expressed readiness to run joint educational projects together with
the National Centre RUSSIA.
"Our
museum is the custodian of many unique historically valuable showpieces. They
are all connected to Russia and provide an understanding of the lives of
different social strata across various historical periods. We are ready to
participate in joint educational projects with the National Centre RUSSIA, and
we are confident that it will be a valuable experience," said Alexei
Levykin.
The team of
the National Centre RUSSIA visited the "Alyona's Dreams" exposition,
which is dedicated to the works of Russian designer Alyona Akhmadullina. The
designer is widely known for her collections of outfits created based on the
plots of Russian and foreign fairy tales, featuring signature prints and
feminine silhouettes. The heroines of "Alyona's Dreams" are enchanted
princesses and feathered maidens, fairy-tale warrior maidens and beauties
transformed into sea waves.
Particular
interest was sparked by the "From Darkness into Light" exposition. It
is dedicated to the problems of preserving nature and maintaining human
spiritual harmony with the surrounding world. The author of the exposition is
Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, one of Russia's most renowned jewellers. Almost every
showpiece of the exposition is accompanied by a personal statement from the
author and carries profound meaning.
The
exposition's space reflects the idea of an inner journey that leads the visitor
to an understanding of their own purpose. It concludes with an eight-metre high
installation named "The Goal". It consists of 13 "jewellery
bullets", each aimed at one of the endangered animal species. According to
Ilgiz Fazulzyanov, only people can stop the deadly flight that destroys
everything nature has created over millions of years. Only then the common goal
will be life, not destruction.
The Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA offers its guests not just "beautiful things", but a conscious choice.
From 27 January to 1 February, Republic of Karelia Days will take place within the "Book of Fairy Tales" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The January Expert Dialogues are held with the support of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation in partnership with the Intersectoral Expertise Centre "Third Rome".
