The National Centre RUSSIA to become one of the venues for the International Week "Peoples of Russia"
The International Week "Peoples of Russia" will be held in Moscow from 2 to 8 November in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 382 of 1 June 2026, which declared 2026 the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The National Centre RUSSIA will be one of the venues for the extensive programme.
The Office of the Security Council of the Russian Federation is coordinating the Week’s events, while the Roscongress Foundation is the operator. The central theme of the International Week is "Solidarity Between States Through the Unity of Peoples and Traditional Values". The International Week "Peoples of Russia" will include business, educational outreach, youth, cultural, sporting and exposition events.
"The programme of the International Week ‘Peoples of Russia’ is intended to demonstrate Russia’s openness to the entire world and showcase projects aimed at building an inclusive interethnic dialogue, respecting cultural diversity and combining efforts to ensure the well-being and safety of every person, regardless of their ethnicity. An event of this scale is particularly relevant in the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia," noted the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu.
The business programme of the International Week "Peoples of Russia", which will be held at the World Trade Centre from 2 to 4 November, will be based around four tracks: "Unity of Peoples", "Historical Memory and Continuity Between Generations", "Serving the Fatherland and Taking Responsibility for Its Destiny" and "Strong Family". The panel sessions will focus on the implementation of state ethnic policy, the protection of historical memory, service to the Fatherland, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation. Particular attention will be devoted to preserving the cultures and traditions of the peoples of Russia, as well as to the unity of the country’s multi-ethnic people as demonstrated in every sphere of life.
"The main theme of the business programme of the International Week 'Peoples of Russia' fully reflects the strategic role of our country as a forum for dialogue between civilisations, where the unity of peoples and a commitment to traditional values form the foundation of multilateral cooperation. During the Week, this idea will be explored through the business programme, exposition projects and youth tracks. These formats make it possible not merely to proclaim values, but to demonstrate their practical importance through joint investment initiatives, educational exchanges and cultural partnerships. Discussions on preserving sovereignty in matters of values and developing new models of trust between states amid global transformation are particularly important. In addition to the business programme, guests of the International Week events can look forward to a diverse programme of cultural, sporting, exposition and film events," emphasised the Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Anton Kobyakov.
The National Centre RUSSIA will be one of the main venues for the educational outreach, youth, cultural and exposition programme of the International Week "Peoples of Russia" from 5 to 7 November. During this period, guests will be able to visit themed exposition projects and photo expositions at the National Centre.

On 6 November, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the "Peoples of Russia" educational marathon organised by the Russian society Znanie, while participants will be able to attend a performance by the Igor Moiseyev State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble in the Concert Hall.

The programme will include the XI All-Russian educational campaign "Great Ethnographic Dictation", the workshop-format game "Strategy of Unity", a meeting of the Public Council of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, and panel sessions devoted to current issues in the development of the state and society and support for projects aimed at preserving the diversity of the cultures and traditions of the peoples of Russia. The Week’s youth programme will also include a screening and discussion of the video version of the musical "For the Flag over the Reichstag", the workshops "Crafts of the Peoples of Russia" and "Native Toy", and a street sports programme featuring demonstration performances and workshops in modern disciplines.
Exposition projects will form a separate part of the programme, including the patriotic exposition "Heroes of the Peoples of Russia", the expositions "Sports Programming", "Time of Meaning" and "Created Together", as well as photo expositions and displays devoted to history, culture and service to the Fatherland. On the evening of 7 November, guests can look forward to a concert featuring popular contemporary young performers and the "Ethno Fashion" fashion show.
