Nevalyashka, porcelain and books about tiles: first results from the new Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA
The new retail and exposition area of the flagship
Department Store project has been operating at the National Centre RUSSIA for
just ten days, but has already become a popular destination for visitors. More
than a thousand people have visited it during this time. The cafeteria area and
book section have proved particularly popular.
In just ten days, guests purchased more than 1,800 items. In addition to
souvenirs, a tea collection and healthy sweets, visitors to the Department
Store showed particular interest in books — including a publication about
Russian tiles in the collection of the Russian Museum of Ethnography, "The
History of Russia in Stories for Children" and a book about traditional
Russian jewellery.
The space opened on 22 September in the western foyer of the National Centre
and became the second Department Store at the National Centre RUSSIA. It
features products by Russian manufacturers from different regions of the
country: Dulevo porcelain, items decorated with Khokhloma, Gzhel and Zhostovo
painting, Yelets lace, natural cosmetics, healthy sweets and much more. The new
autumn collection of the Department Store RUSSIA was also presented here —
colourful tableware and household items for cosy evenings, cosmetics made with
black caviar, and fragrances based on herbs from Altai, Crimea and Siberia. At
the "Green Living Room" in the new Department Store, visitors are
offered unique signature drinks.
