III All-Russian Wedding Festival featured on Channel One
On the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, the National Centre
RUSSIA will once again become a place where new families are born. On this day,
newlyweds from across the country will take part in a wedding procession and
register their marriages, Deputy Director General of the National Centre
RUSSIA, Anastasia Zvyagina, said on Channel One’s "Good Morning"
programme.
"Our country is not only the largest in the world, but
also one of the most multinational. Couples come to us from all over Russia,
and it is quite possible that this year the festival will become international.
The festival gives them the opportunity to formalise their relationship and get
married in the very heart of the country — in Moscow, to share unforgettable
moments with other newlyweds from across Russia, to showcase the cultural
diversity of our country and to speak with leading experts in family relations.
We have a tradition that began back at the International RUSSIA EXPO — the
passing on of the flame of the All-Russian Family Hearth. It was brought from
Murom, the homeland of Saints Peter and Fevronia. Year after year, it is passed
on by couples who married at previous wedding festivals: they share their love
and family values with new families. We invite everyone to celebrate the Day of
Family, Love and Fidelity with us on 8 and 9 July at the National Centre RUSSIA
and its branches!" said Anastasia Zvyagina.
Relatives and friends of the newlyweds will be able not only
to congratulate the couples, but also to attend events in the educational
programme featuring lecturers, psychologists and historians. They will speak
about family traditions, the culture of the peoples of Russia, how to build
strong relationships and how to overcome difficulties in family life.
Applications to take part in the III All-Russian Wedding
Festival can be submitted on our website until 22 May. The event will bring
together couples in love from different peoples. In one space, they will
showcase the country’s cultural diversity and the unity of feelings.
The I All-Russian Wedding Festival was held in 2024 as part
of the International RUSSIA EXPO. At the festival, 221 couples entered into
marriage. In 2025, the event was held at the National Centre RUSSIA, where
another 206 families were created. The event has become an annual one and will
be held on the feast day of Saints Peter and Fevronia.
The III All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts" brings together couples from across the country.
Ahead of the 9 May holiday — Victory Day — Vasily Shcherbakov and Larisa Denisenko from the Donetsk People’s Republic submitted a marriage registration.
he Day of Indigenous Small-Numbered Peoples of Russia is being celebrated in our country for the first time on 30 April.
