Speaking about the country in superlatives: Nigerian blogger Youtols at the National Centre RUSSIA
"Insanely beautiful," "incredible," "simply wow" — these and other ecstatic descriptions were used by Nigerian blogger Youtols to characterise Russia. His first introduction to our country began at the National Centre RUSSIA, at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition, where the main achievements, nature, culture and landmarks of all federal districts — from the Far East to Kaliningrad — are brought together in one space.
"We really liked the diversity offered by the exposition, the fact that different regions are represented, and that there is both history and modern achievements, and interactive elements — it is very, very cool. I particularly liked the hall with gemstones: the way we descended, the throne, the queen, all those amazing stones, the magical atmosphere and the emerald eyes of the lizard — that was just wow," shared Youtols.
According to the guest, such expositions are equally important for both Russians and foreign visitors, because they offer an opportunity to see the country in all its colours and fullness without having to travel thousands of kilometres.
"Such expositions are important for you and, above all, for us foreigners — because it is impossible to physically travel across the whole of Russia in one day, but here we can easily do that. We are grateful to your entire country and to your President for the warm welcome and for inviting us. I am delighted with Russia and with Moscow — it is absolutely incredible. The food here is amazingly delicious, the people are incredibly hospitable, and I am unimaginably, insanely happy and glad to be here," added the blogger.
Youtols from Nigeria took part in the blog tour "Russia–Africa: New Media Meanings", the official opening of which took place at the National Centre RUSSIA on 26 July. The event marked the start of a programme in which guests from the African continent will discover modern-day Russia, its cultural code and technological development through live communication, expert meetings and visits to significant cultural and public venues. The project is being organised jointly by the "African Initiative" news agency and the Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo as part of the "New Generation" programme. It involves 50 journalists and bloggers from 12 African countries with a combined audience of over 30 million subscribers.
The forum "Architecture Code of Russia: From Historical Identity to Building National Pride" has opened at the National Centre RUSSIA.
