"An asset to be proud of": Sergei Novikov visited the National Centre RUSSIA in the Krasnoyarsk region
During a working visit to Krasnoyarsk, the Head of the Presidential Directorate for Social Projects of the Russian Federation, Sergei Novikov, visited the National Centre RUSSIA. He familiarised himself with the exposition and infrastructure of the complex on the banks of the Yenisei, created in the regional capital by order of the Head of State, Vladimir Putin.
"I would like to congratulate the residents of the Krasnoyarsk region on the appearance of an asset that can truly be a source of pride. The exposition is very rich, and I believe that any family with children who comes here will see how vast, diverse, rich, and multifaceted the Krasnoyarsk region is. After that, a child will be proud of their small homeland. And for parents who want to instil this love, there is simply no better place than the National Centre RUSSIA," Sergei Novikov shared his impressions.
The Governor of the region, Mikhail Kotyukov, presented to the Head of the Presidential Directorate the results of large-scale work to create the National Centre RUSSIA in the Krasnoyarsk region.
"The Krasnoyarsk team has carried out extensive work to preserve the legacy of the RUSSIA EXPO, and today we see the result — a new and modern space that is popular with both residents and visitors. Here, people can learn about the most important achievements of the region and the country and spend time with the whole family in an engaging way. And this is only the beginning of major work that we will continue together with representatives of the creative industries of our region," the head of the region noted.
Sergei Novikov toured the central element of the project — the large-scale interactive exposition "Energy of People — Energy of the Krasnoyarsk Region", housed in a thematic gallery. The exposition, created by local creative teams, provides a detailed account of the history, industrial potential, nature, culture, and heroes of the Krasnoyarsk region.
During the visit, Sergei Novikov was also shown the multifunctional facilities of the centre: a cultural and business zone for forums and conferences, a 440-seat concert hall, the Department Store RUSSIA featuring products from regional producers, and the Gastronomic Rows offering Siberian cuisine.
The National Centre RUSSIA in the Krasnoyarsk region opened in December last year. The total area of the complex exceeds 44,000 square metres. The centre was created to showcase the country’s most important achievements, strengthen national identity, foster a sense of pride in the country among citizens, and develop professional skills among children and young people.
During the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the Governor of the country’s westernmost region shared what the strength of national unity personally means to him.
