Oksana Domnina and Roman Kostomarov: strong families are built on trust and mutual understanding
Russian figure skaters Oksana Domnina and Roman Kostomarov
shared their thoughts on the foundations of a happy relationship during the
discussion "Love as a Source of Strength: What Helps Families Endure Times of Challenge" at the National Centre RUSSIA.
"Family is built on trust — an invisible bond that exists between two people and grows stronger with every passing year," said Oksana Domnina.
According to Roman Kostomarov, a happy marriage is impossible without mutual
respect, the ability to listen to one another, compromise and forgive.
"It is a great happiness, but at the same time it requires daily effort
from both partners. Only then does a family become truly strong," he said.
The discussion formed part of the educational programme of the III All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts". A recording of the event is available on the National Centre RUSSIA website in the "Livestreams and Videos" section.

The open dialogue "Forms of Love: Literature and Art" formed part of the educational programme of the III All-Russian Wedding Festival "Russia. Uniting Hearts".
