Oksana Lut explores the history and achievements of the Ryazan Region at the regional branch of the National Centre RUSSIA
On 16 October, during a working visit to the Ryazan Region, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut, together with Governor Pavel Malkov, visited the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA and toured the exposition "Soul of Ryazan — Heart of Russia." At the exposition, the Minister was introduced to the history of the Ryazan land, its natural wealth and folk traditions, the legacy of outstanding Ryazan natives, and the region's achievements in industry, science, and sport, as well as its modern enterprises and promising projects.
Pavel Malkov and Oksana Lut visited the display "Viktor Ivanov. Only What Touches the Heart," which featured around thirty works created by the outstanding artist Viktor Ivanovich Ivanov over the past two years since his centenary. The paintings, now available to visitors in the rotating exposition area of the branch, depict picturesque landscapes of the Ryazan countryside, rural daily life, and simple scenes of everyday existence.
At a creative meeting with the artist at the branch of the National Centre RUSSIA, Governor Pavel Malkov emphasised that Viktor Ivanov is one of the greatest masters of Russian painting. Throughout his creative career, he has celebrated working people labouring on their native land, which made the participation of Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut in the meeting highly symbolic.
"The Ryazan Region occupies a special place in Viktor Ivanovich's works. His paintings are an enormous contribution to Russian culture and art, and to the preservation of the traditions and history of the Ryazan land. We are proud that it is our land that serves as constant source of inspiration for him. The Ryazan Region has its own People's Artist Viktor Ivanov — a people's artist in every sense of the word," said Pavel Malkov.
Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut noted that the painter's work fosters respect for labour on the land and skilfully conveys the distinctive character of rural themes.
In recognition of his talent, many years of fruitful work, and special achievements in the development of culture and art, the head of the region presented People's Artist of the USSR Viktor Ivanov with the Honorary Badge of the Governor of the Ryazan Region "Honour and Glory."
"Throughout my entire creative life, I have remained faithful to one central idea — the Ryazan land and its people. Recognition of my achievements at the highest level of the region's leadership gives me strength in my work and confidence in the future," shared Viktor Ivanov in his response.
As part of the visit, Governor Pavel Malkov also told Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut about the development of the "Pedestrian Ryazan" route, and they visited the territory of the Ryazan VDNH, the youth cluster, Lybedsky Boulevard, Pochtovaya Street, and Myunstetskaya Street.
During a working meeting at the Government of the Ryazan Region, Pavel Malkov and Oksana Lut discussed the progress of seasonal agricultural work, measures to support farmers, personnel training, and the further development of the agro-industrial complex and rural territories of the region, as well as the implementation of federal programmes in the field of agriculture.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture also took part in the opening of a new selection and seed-growing centre, which will provide a full cycle of preparation of seeds for grain and leguminous crops. Its capacity will be 43,000 tonnes per year.
In addition, Oksana Lut explored the operations of one of Russia's largest poultry farms and inspected an agrotechnological class opened as part of the federal project "Personnel in the Agro-Industrial Complex." Here, schoolchildren study animal husbandry, agroengineering, genetics, and plant breeding. In total, 33 such classes operate in the region.
The conversation focuses on the place of Christianity in the life of modern people.
The National Centre RUSSIA is continuing to accept applications for the second season of the Young Journalists School.
