Oleg Matytsin: "The RUSSIA EXPO gives an opportunity to get acquainted with the achievements of the domestic sport system"

Minister of Sport Oleg Matytsin summarized the results of the National Achievements Forum: Sport held at the RUSSIA EXPO. 

"It is very important that the final board is held on this platform. The International RUSSIA EXPO gives an opportunity not only to representatives of sports, but also to all citizens of our country and foreign guests to get acquainted with the achievements of the domestic sport system. We noted today that last year was the centenary year of the State Authority for Physical Culture and Sport. Now we are starting a new century and, of course, this year will be very important not only for us, but for the whole country," emphasized Oleg Matytsin.

The minister noted that Russia, despite the sanctions announced by the International Olympic Committee and other international federations, nevertheless continues to strengthen the national system and develop the sports calendar:

"And, most importantly, we are implementing the strategy of physical culture and sport until 2030, approved by the Government of the Russian Federation on behalf of the President of Russia. And the interests of our citizens, their health, and the creation of the most comfortable conditions for sports remain the most important. We are now focusing on the development of mass, children's and youth sports as the basis for the formation of the overall system of physical culture and sport. And the achievements of our athletes in spartakiads, at Russian championships, at international competitions are the result of powerful teamwork," said the head of the department.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. Throughout the Exposition, cultural events, a rich business and educational program await the guests. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. More than 7 million people have already visited the Exposition. The International RUSSIA EXPO takes place at VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
