The winner of the "Routes of Victory" tour giveaway by the National Centre RUSSIA has been announced
The National Centre RUSSIA, together with the social media accounts of Gosuslugi and the national project "Data Economy," held a competition for a trip for two along the "Routes of Victory".
As part of the contest, users of the "VKontakte" social network were invited to share a story about the heroic deeds of their relatives — participants of the Great Patriotic War. The organisers received many sincere stories about family relics, incredible fates, losses and great courage. These stories have become part of the people's memory, which will live on in the descendants of true heroes.
The winners were determined using a formula-based selection. According to the competition rules, five raincoats, five sweatshirts, and the main prize — a tour for two within the excursion and educational project "Routes of Victory", were raffled. The tour was won by Yelena Godunova from Novosibirsk.
Yelena spoke about the contribution her relatives made to Victory, about the hard work of soldiers and nurses. Her grandfather, aunt and uncle fought at the front, were wounded, carried comrades from the battlefield and, for their heroic deeds, were recommended for awards. In the Godunov family, the memory of each of them is carefully preserved. Yelena herself became a Volunteer of Victory and takes part in commemorative events. Her project "Teacher at War" was presented at patriotic forums.
"The Routes of Victory" project was developed by the National Centre RUSSIA together with the National Exhibition Centre BelExpo and is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Its goal is to preserve the memory of the heroic deeds of the Soviet people, unite generations and inspire the study of shared history.
Participants of the route will be able to visit iconic memorial sites in Moscow and the Moscow region, connected with the events of wartime, learn more about the fates of heroes and key episodes of the war, and also look at the past through the prism of culture, architecture and art. More information about the route is available on the project's website.
Graduates of the International Children's Centre Artek from all regions of Russia and various countries across the world will arrive at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The event was part of the programme celebrating this memorable date, which is widely marked at the National Centre RUSSIA.
