Organic gardens and unique industry: Voronezh Region Day at the RUSSIA EXPO
The largest
organic garden in Europe with an area of more than two hundred hectares. Record
harvests of grain and sugar beet. Leading positions in meat production.
Russia's first enterprise for deep processing of milk, which will reduce
dependence on imported milk proteins for children's, sports and dietary food by
a quarter.
Agro-industrial
successes are only a part of the achievements presented on the Day of the
Voronezh Region by Governor Alexander Gusev at the RUSSIA EXPO.
"I
want to welcome you to the wonderful, ambitious RUSSIA EXPO, which is held on
the initiative of our President. One of our slogans is "The Voronezh
region is a region where everything grows". I want to assure you that we
are committed to providing the most favorable conditions for the life of our
people and business development", - Alexander Gusev emphasized.
The rapid
growth of housing construction testifies to the standard of living in the
region. According to this indicator the region is among the top 15 subjects of
the country and among the three leaders of the Central Federal District. The
volume of GRP over the last five years has increased one and a half times and
reached the figure of almost 1.5 trillion rubles.
The
region's development is ensured by industrial parks for medium and large
businesses, the special economic zone of industrial production type Center, and
the territory of advanced development Pavlovsk. The special economic zone
Center has already attracted twelve large residents, whose projects have a
total investment capacity of 30 billion rubles. The territory of six industrial
parks has already hosted 146 enterprises that have created more than 6.5
thousand jobs and attracted about 50 billion rubles.
A major success in the development of the region was the modernization of the Peter the Great Voronezh International Airport. It has become a convenient air harbor not only for the residents of the region, but also for the residents of six neighboring subjects. Tourism is actively developing in the region - last year the tourist flow exceeded 1 million people.
Under the Demography National Project in 2020, the Burevestnik Canoeing Center was built - it is a unique facility that allows training and competitions of any level. Last year, the Megaschool opened in Voronezh - it is the largest school education complex in Russia, where almost three thousand children can study at the same time.
The integration of special military operation veterans into peaceful life and the interaction between regions and municipalities were discussed as part of the Forum "SMALL HOMELAND – THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA".
