An incredible journey into the world of sounds and emotions at the concert of electronic music performed by one of the unique inventions in the history of music, belonging to the Soviet engineer Lev Termen! The theremin (or termenvox), created by Lev Termen 100 years ago, became a reference point for the history of world electronic music. Today it is still one of the most futuristic and innovative musical instruments: the theremin is played by hand movements in the air, without touching the instrument, by changing the parameters of the electric field. Pyotr Termen, one of the world's leading performers on the theremin, head of the Theremin School and great-grandson of the instrument's inventor, will talk about the history of the theremin and perform classical and contemporary academic music.
