The patriotic campaign "Car for the Front", organised jointly with the People’s Front, is taking place at the National Centre RUSSIA. Throughout the day, guests can leave words of support on a special vehicle located near the southern entrance for soldiers carrying out combat missions in the special military operation zone. The car, which has become a symbol of shared support, will be sent to the combat zone after the campaign ends.

Dozens of short but deeply personal messages have appeared on the body of the car — wishes of good luck, pleas to return home alive and well, words of gratitude and faith in Victory. Participants wrote on their own behalf, on behalf of their families and children, leaving warm messages for those who are now on the front line.

"It was important for me not just to write a few words, but to show that we are thinking of the guys, waiting for them and believing that they will come home. A campaign like this brings people together: you realise that behind this one car stand citizens from across the whole country," said Vitaly Maslov, one of the campaign participants.

The "Car for the Front" campaign became part of the major commemorative programme of the National Centre RUSSIA, timed to coincide with the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. In addition, the "Memory Wall" campaign continues at the National Centre RUSSIA, with Russian regions and more than 20 countries around the world joining it. From 1 to 10 May, visitors can place portraits of frontline soldiers and home-front workers.

Another important project is the "Heirs of the Victors" campaign, created jointly with the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation. Photo pairs of Great Patriotic War veterans and their descendants who are participants in the special military operation are displayed on the media screens and media facade of the National Centre RUSSIA, as well as in regional branches, highlighting the continuity of generations and traditions of service to the Motherland. Volunteers of the National Centre RUSSIA are also distributing badges in exchange for donations as part of the "Red Carnation" campaign. All funds will be directed by the Memory of Generations Foundation to provide medical assistance to veterans.

The #LetterToAHero campaign also continues. Its aim is to express the people’s gratitude to servicemen taking part in the special military operation. Any visitor to the National Centre RUSSIA can write a triangle letter with warm words of support and wishes for the defenders of the Motherland. Volunteers will help visitors format the message correctly and place it in a special container for delivery to the front line.

The patriotic campaigns of the National Centre RUSSIA remind us how important it is to preserve the memory of the heroes of the past and support the heroes of the present. Anyone can take part in the "Car for the Front" campaign.
