From epic heroes to smart organic produce: Mordovia to showcase key traditions and achievements at the National Centre RUSSIA
The programme of themed regional days continues at the National Centre RUSSIA. From 17 to 22 February, visitors to the "Book of Fairy Tales" exposition will have the opportunity to learn more about the culture, legends, landmarks and development prospects of the Republic of Mordovia.
The programme will open with a traditional meeting with the region’s leader. The Head of the Republic of Mordovia, Artyom Zdunov, will present the key achievements and development plans of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation through to 2030. To immerse guests in the atmosphere of the region, the event will feature a showcase of traditional Mordovian costume — Moksha and Erzya — as well as a vibrant runway presentation by the ethno-art theatre "Varma", accompanied by traditional Mordovian instruments.
The business programme of the themed week includes a round table entitled "Project Initiatives for the Comprehensive Production of the Republic of Mordovia", bringing together representatives of major businesses. During the event, a cooperation agreement will be signed between the Republic of Mordovia and the autonomous non-profit organisation "Creative Economy".
Another round table with the participation of Artyom Zdunov will present details of the implementation of the unique regional project "Organic for Children". The project is aimed at integrating organic dairy products into the diets of young residents of Mordovia.
As part of the Republic of Mordovia Days, Artyom Zdunov will meet participants of the regional programme "Heroes Among Their Own" ("Geroi Sredi SVOikh") and graduates of the federal programme "Time of Heroes". In a discussion with young people from Mordovia, the head of the region will address the development of domestic tourism. The conversation will focus on how travelling across one’s home country contributes to the upbringing of the younger generation and fosters interest in the history and culture of Russia.
The Republic of Mordovia Days at the National Centre RUSSIA continue the programme of themed regional days within the "Book of Fairy Tales" exposition. Visitors can explore the culture, legends and epic (bylina) heroes of the region, listen to fairy tales and see unique exhibits from other constituent entities of the Russian Federation free of charge with prior registration on the website russia.ru. The "Book of Fairy Tales" exposition will welcome guests until 1 March.
