Rest under a pine tree and take a photo with a moose: the Komi Republic at the RUSSIA EXPO
Komi boasts the world's narrowest alley and the largest Lenin's head. And also, a huge pie that got into the Book of Records of Russia was baked here. But the main pride of the region is its unique nature and places of power. You can learn more about Komi at the Exposition by visiting the cozy stand of the republic.
The Komi exposition invites guests to have a rest from the bustle of the city on the edge of the forest. After all, this is the main wealth of the republic, which is famous for its forest reserves, unique wooden architecture and wood products. Especially for the Exposition, local museums provided their exhibits — a traditional yurt with household items and a stuffed deer.
In the center of the exposition there is a huge pine tree, and it is so pleasant to sit under its shade, opposite to it there is a huge screen broadcasting nature views that take your breath away. And here you can also take a picture with the Elk — it is one of the sacral symbols of the region. Meanwhile, the youngest visitors can ride a rocking elk.
There is also a wooden house at the exposition, made with maintaining traditional elements in the decor. Exposition of household products from local craftsmen is waiting for guests in the house. Also, everyone can find out what their totem animal is according to the hunting calendar. And, of course, go on a virtual journey. For example, to fly over the Manpupuner plateau and see the famous weathering pillars — one of the seven wonders of Russia.
The
ceremony symbolizes the enduring value of family traditions and emphasizes the
continuation of the initiatives of the Year of the Family in the future.
