Lotus lakes — a natural symbol of the Jewish Autonomous Region
In the very heart of the Russian Far East lie unique natural treasures — the four lotus lakes of the Jewish Autonomous Region. Utinoye and Lebedinoye are well known and picturesque, though hard to reach. And Bezymyannoye Lake, located within the Uldury nature reserve, is a place of extraordinary beauty just one kilometre from the main road.
Each summer its waters are transformed into a magnificent pink carpet. This is the bloom of the Komarov lotus, an ancient relict plant listed in the Red Book of Russia.
To see lotus flowers in bloom is a rare stroke of luck. Their flowering lasts only from mid-July to mid-August, and each individual blossom usually lives no more than seven days. This fleeting yet unforgettable spectacle attracts tourists and photographers eager to capture the region’s natural landmark.
If you are inspired by the fragile beauty of the lotus, the National Centre RUSSIA invites you to explore the culture, traditions and achievements of the Jewish Autonomous Region. From 29 September to 5 October, the "Region-2030. Platform of the Future" exposition will host a themed week dedicated to this distinctive region. Visitors to the stand will enjoy a business, cultural and educational programme. Follow the events schedule on the website russia.ru and on the social media channels of the National Centre RUSSIA.
Regional Days are part of the "Region-2030. Platform of the Future" exposition at the National Centre RUSSIA from September to October. Guests have already discovered the main attractions and achievements of the Republic of Dagestan, as well as the Voronezh, Tula and Amur regions. From 7 to 12 October and from 14 to 19 October, themed weeks will be dedicated to the Chelyabinsk region and the Nenets Autonomous Area, respectively.
Representatives of the government and the expert community discussed the key directions for the development of the advertising industry.
