Memory, courage, Victory: watch "Soldiers’ Dreams" on Zvezda TV channel
The historical performance "Soldiers’ Dreams", dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, will be shown on Zvezda TV channel on 17 May at 21:40. One of the largest-scale productions by the National Centre RUSSIA brought together more than 500 artists.
The performance, created under the direction of People’s Artist of Russia Yevgeny Glazov, tells the poignant story of the generation of victors. Through a synthesis of stage art and documentary material, viewers are immersed in the wartime era: music, poetry, songs of the front-line years and archival footage from 1941-1945 come together in a single emotional canvas about the courage, memory and strength of spirit of those who gave us a peaceful future.
Choirs came together on one stage, including the Rosgvardiya choir and the Pyatnitsky State Academic Russian Folk Choir, along with dance ensembles, including the Gzhel Dance Theatre, drama actors and popular performers from different generations, children’s ensembles and a large costumed crowd scene. The production features People’s Artists of Russia Lev Leshchenko, Ilya Reznik, Sergei Shakurov and Valeria, Honoured Artists of Russia Varvara and Yelena Vaenga, as well as young stars Klava Koka and Khabib.
Authentic photographic materials and wartime chronicles brought to life on giant screens create a special atmosphere of immersion in the performance. With the help of a light curtain and multimedia scenery, the stage turns into a bridge between the past and the present: viewers seem to walk alongside soldiers on the roads of war, experience the hardships of life at the front, feel the joy of approaching Victory and share the emotions of long-awaited reunions with loved ones after years of separation.
Do not miss the broadcast of "Soldiers’ Dreams" on Zvezda TV channel — a powerful artistic statement about the feat of the people, where documentary truth is combined with the power of theatre. The broadcast recording is also available on our website in the "Livestreams and Videos" section.
