Pierre de Gaulle and his wife take part in the survey "What Does the Motherland Begin With?"
For some, the Motherland is the place where they were born. For others, it is the country they came to love and now regard as the most beautiful in the world. Pierre de Gaulle, a French public figure and financier, grandson of Charles de Gaulle, founder and first President of the French Fifth Republic, together with his wife Najet Bensouiki, joined the nationwide "What Does the Motherland Begin With?" campaign during their visit to the National Centre RUSSIA.
"The Motherland is everything. It is the place where we were born, where we feel strong and united," said Pierre de Gaulle in response to the campaign's central question.
Najet Bensouiki added: "The Motherland begins with love. It is the love between people and between nations. The Motherland is our strength and everything beautiful that unites us."
The survey "What Does the Motherland Begin With?" is being conducted by the National Centre RUSSIA with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation. The project aims to strengthen people's sense of unity with their country while preserving cultural diversity and shared values. Anyone can take part and share their thoughts on what the Motherland means to them on the russia.ru website.
